About speakers

Marianne Lindroth, Project Manager & Researcher, Aalto University

Marianne is a cybersecurity professional with experience in consulting, education research, and project management. Skilled in organisational security, data protection, EU projects, and teaching. Holds an MSc in Cybersecurity, an MA in Communication, and a Professional Teacher degree. Currently working on doctoral thesis at Aalto University on the socio-technical nature of cybersecurity.

Mariannes talk bridges academic research and practical development of cybersecurity games. She highlights how games can train skills, raise awareness, and make cyber learning more engaging.

About Cyber Citizen

Svitlana Chaplinska, Security Engineer, Metacore Games

Svitlana is a cybersecurity professional with a Master’s in Security and Cloud Computing from Aalto University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She works as a Security Engineer at Metacore Games, focusing on processes, development security, AI security, risk assessments, and governance. She values practical impact, continuous learning, and collaborating with developers to integrate security from the start. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, coffee, and spending time in nature.

Developing Finnish Center of Expertise for Cybersecurity

The Developing of the Finnish Center of Expertice for Cybersecurity (FICEC) Project focuses on strengthening regional cybersecurity expertise and leveraging digitalization opportunities in businesses and society. Implemented by Jamk University of Applied Sciences and the University of Jyväskylä, the project aims to build research and development initiatives that enhance cyber resilience and address the needs of industry and the business sector.

Developing Finnish Center of Expertise for Cybersecurity Project is co-funded by the European Union.
