Institute of Rehabilitation

The Institute of Rehabilitation is a centre for education, development and research in the field of multidisciplinary rehabilitation. We respond to changing societal needs by renewing rehabilitation and by producing expertise in the field of rehabilitation through education, continuous learning, research and development.

We are a significant national centre of expertise that serves as a global platform for the development of rehabilitation.

We have over 60 Specialists working in the Institute of Rehabilitation whose core competence is in the areas of education, development, global co-operation and research.

Researching, developing and learning at RehaLab

RehaLab is a research, development and learning environment with modern rehabilitation technology.
We are reforming and strengthening rehabilitation know-how to meet the changing national and international needs.

Renewing rehabilitation through development projects

The goal of our development projects is to widely renew and develop the approaches and competence of rehabilitation.

One of our main goals is to develop cooperation with companies and create versatile partnerships within education, research and development activities and business development.

We educate experts of multidisciplinary rehabilitation

We educate nearly 200 solid experts in multidisciplinary rehabilitation each year. We also offer master’s degree studies, specialisation studies and diploma courses.

Our expert groups are working with topical and globally important rehabilitation themes

We have five expert groups: Digital rehabilitation and guidance, Older people's agency and home-based rehabilitation​, Work well-being and vocational rehabilitation, Active life and exercise rehabilitation and Service paths and client guidance.
