JAMK applied for funding from Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Programme for co-operation with global partners

JAMK submitted Erasmus+ Credit Mobility application for the national agency.

Erasmus+ for Higher Education is a programme by European Commission, enabling students to spend part of their studies in another higher education institution elsewhere in Europe.

Couple of years ago the programme was opened also for other parts of the world. Under international credit mobility, a HEI in a Partner Country can sen its students, or staff to a partner HEI in a Programme  Country, and vice versa. Students are able to study abroad for a limited period of 3 to 12 months for which credits are obtained. After the mobility phase, the  students return to their sending institution to complete their studies. Similarly, staff can spend a teaching and/or training period abroad for up to 2 months.

JAMK applied funding from the programme for co-operation with the following countries and partners:

- Russia (Nizhnevartovsk State University)
- Egypt (Pharos University in Alexandria)
- Kosovo (University of Prishtina)
- Iran (Farhangian University)
- Montenegro (University of Montenegro)
- Kazakhstan, consortium with HAMK and LAMK (Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education JSC, JSC Astana Medical University).

The results are expected in May 2017.
