Finnish Championship in Food Craftmanship for the first time in Jyväskylä 2019 – Sign in!

JAMK University of Applied Sciences organises Finnish Championship in Food Craftmanship in Jyväskylä on 13-15 September 2019. The aim of the competition is to develop artisan food and make it more broadly known. The competition is open to all Finnish, Nordic and Baltic competitors. There are 11 categories and 60 competition classes – everything form drinks, berries and sauces to meat and fish products.

Biobord prototype ready for Joint Actions and Innovation Co-operation

RDI2CluB project reached the half-way mark in the end of March 2019. The milestone was celebrated with the release of the prototype of the Biobord platform for test-use in the partnership.

JAMK dares to try and fail – the audit yielded praise on the quality system and strong culture of experimentation

JAMK University of Applied Sciences was the first Finnish-language higher education institution (HEI) to pass the third cycle of national quality audits. The third cycle of quality audits, carried out by the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre FINEEC, listed the student-centred approach, brave culture of experimentation and versatile learning environments as JAMK’s particular strengths.

Main Library is self-service during 24-28 June, the other library units will be closed until 4 August. Main Library is closed from 29 June to 28 July, after which it will self-service from 29 July to 2 August.

JAMK’s explosive invention solves airbag manufacturer’s billion-dollar problem

The ANST project carried out by JAMK University of Applied Sciences patented a solution to keep the explosive force of the ammonium nitrate used for airbag gas generation constant despite temperature variations.
