Social Programme - Business Summer School
Take part in cultural and social activities in Jyväskylä: e.g. an evening cruise on Lake Päijänne and a traditional Finnish Sauna-night with barbequing and swimming in a lake.

Monday 3 June - Opening Ceremony, 4 p.m.
The Official Opening Ceremony for Jamk Summer School students and professors will be held on Monday, June 3 at 16:00 at Jamk's Main campus after your first day of classes.
Tuesday 4 June - Traditional Finnish Summer Eve Experience
from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
We are thrilled to invite you to join us for a Traditional Finnish Summer Eve Experince at Varjola! You'll have an opportunity to experience Finnish luxury smoke saunas, hot jacuzzis, grilling sausages, a dip into the lake and simply enjoying the Varjola surroundings. All this is included in the admin fee. For the daredevils Varjola offers an opportunity to go rafting for 20€/person.
- Departure: from FORUM bus stop (2 buses)
- Return: Buses leave from Varjola back to Jyväskylä at 21:30 (9.30 p.m.)
- Cost: Included in the admin fee (Optional rafting 20€)
- What else: Casual clothing, towel and swimsuit
Wednesday 5 June - Walk around Jyväsjärvi from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Enjoy a scenic walk around Lake Jyväskylä with your fellow summer school students. Meeting point - Jamk Main Campus.
Cost: included in the admin fee
Thursday 6 June - Jyväskylä walking tour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On this guided tour you can see Jyväskylä’s most important spots to sightsee and get to know the city and the highlights of the history.
Cost: Included in the admin fee
Friday 7 June - Football tournament from 7 p.m. onwards
Come and join us for the Football tournament on Friday evening and bring your competitive spirit to the field!
Saturday 8 June – Beach picnic in harbor area from 12 p.m. onwards
Come and join us to hang out on Saturday afternoon and get to know better your fellow classmates!
Wednesday 12 June - Beach picnic at Tuomiojärvi 6 p.m. onwards
Let’s go to the beach! ☀️ We have a ton of different games with us and have also reserved two beach volleyball courts beginning at 18 o’clock (6 p.m.)
Tuesday 18 June - Cruise on Lake Päijänne from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. OR 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Join us for a lovely evening cruise on the Lake Päijänne. The cruise includes a buffet dinner, which you can enjoy with your fellow students while experiencing the unique Finnish lakeside scenery. Cruise and dinner included in the admin fee.
Departure from Jyväskylä harbour. Group 1 will depart at 17:30 (5.30 p.m.) and group 2 at 20:00 (8 p.m.)

Wednesday 19 June - Closing Ceremony from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On Wednesday 19th of June, we will have an official closing ceremony at Jamk's Main campus, where you will receive your official certification of attendance.
