Leadership, Communication and Responsible Tourism
Intensive, three-week study tracks have been designed to challenge and inspire you in your studies. Jamk Summer School includes lectures, workshops, get-togethers and interesting site visits. Each year Jamk Summer School gathers around 200 students and lecturers from e.g. USA, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Singapore, and from Europe.
Welcome to Jyväskylä, Finland, between 2 June - 22 June 2023
The Summer School programme starts with a weekend in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, where we ask the students to arrive on Friday 2 June. Our student tutors will meet you at the airport and guide you to the city centre and your accommodation. Two nights at a hostel, guided sightseeing tour and bus transfer to Jyväskylä on Sunday 4 June are all included in the administration fee. The orientation will take place in Helsinki, on Saturday 3th of June, 5:00 p.m (UTC+2). You will meet faculty and students from all over the world and get familiar with the practicalities of the summer school. The Official Opening Ceremony for Jamk Summer School students and professors will be held on Monday, June 5 at 9 a.m. in Jamk Dynamo campus. The first lectures will begin after the event.
Classmates from various colleges and universities add to your experience both inside and outside the classroom. Together, you’ll take courses and broaden your network — an important facet in today’s global, and competitive, workplace environment. So in addition to learning, the summer school offers you a chance to experience the future of team work in the digital age.
Welcome to our Summer School, one of the best experiences of your life!

The Jamk Summer School has been an unforgettable voyage that will remain in my heart forever. It is definitely the period where I found myself and learned a great deal about myself. But, most importantly, I earned friends from all over the world from different cultures. They were the ones who made this journey unforgettable and easy. And that's one of the most rewarding aspects of the summer school experience.
The joys this summer school life has given me are surely countless and will remain to be the best days of my life.

Orientation Weekend in Helsinki and Study Tours
Jyväskylä, City of Students
Jyväskylä has four beautiful seasons ranging from warm green summers to crisp white winters. The city, located in Central Finland, is surrounded by numerous beautiful lakes and scenic nature. Finland and Jyväskylä are safe places to study and live in. Jyväskylä is a city of students, where every 3rd person that you pass by is a student. The city is very dynamic. Take a look at the sports and cultural activities, not to mention the restaurants and cafés. One of Jamk’s international students was very surprised to get her lost wallet back. This can actually happen in Jyväskylä! Honesty is the hallmark of Finnish culture.
