Admission criteria

The selection is based on the completed Open UAS Studies, so one does not have to take part in the normal student selection process (joint application system).

In all programmes, students are selected based on the Open UAS Studies grade point average (checked from open UAS transcript of records) in case there are more applicants than available study places. The grade point average is counted from the final grades of the completed study courses. In case the grade of a course is graded as P, the course will not be counted in to the grade point average.

  • In case there are as many or less applicants as there are available study places, all applicants who have completed at least 30 ECTS credits that can be recognised as part of the degree programme by the end of the application period will gain admission as a degree student. In this case the grade point average is not used for student selection.
  • In case there are more applicants than available study places, applicants who have completed at least 30 ECTS credits that can be recognised as part of the degree programme by the end of the application period will be selected based on the grade point average. The grade point average is counted from the transcript of records from the studies that can be recognised as part of the degree programme completed by the end of the application period.

The admission is conditional until the final transcript has been checked (55 ECTS credits and other requirements) on 20 December 2023.

Selection between applicants with equal grade point averages

In cases of equal grade point averages, applicants of Open Study Path will be ranked on the following grounds in the final selection:

  1. Order of application preferences
  2. If the above mentioned criteria fail to produce a difference between tied applicants, all the applications with equal admission scores will be selected.
