3 Register name

The customer register of the enrollment and application system of continuing education (Short course).

4 Purpose for processing personal information

The system is used in enrollment or application for JAMK continuing studies, ordered training courses and separate applications.

For enrollment/application, the name and contact information of the applicant are required. For fee-based studies, the contact information of the payer (applicant/employer) is also required. If the applicants that are elected for the studies will need JAMK's network user ID, the applicant's personal ID number is asked in the enrollment/application.

The register is maintained by the main content user of the system at JAMK Educational Development Services.

5 Register information contents

Information is gathered from the person to be registered in the enrollment/application stage. The following data are saved into the register:

  • Name
  • ID number
  • Address
  • e-mail address
  • Telephone number

And, if needed,

  • Gender
  • Home municipality
  • Information on previous education
  • Billing information
  • Marketing prohibition
  • Occupation/title
  • Work experience
  • Reason for application
  • Work situation
  • Other background information relevant to the studies that are applied for.

6 Regular information sources

Information is gathered from the person to be registered in the enrollment/application stage.

7 Regular information hand-overs and information transfer outside the EU or the European Economic Area

The information is not disclosed to third parties.

The information in the register are used in the processing of the enrollments/applications made in the enrollment system, at JAMK Data Administration for the purpose of creating network user IDs, and in the marketing of JAMK's trainings and courses.

If needed Education Secretary responsible for course transfer information from the customer register (Short course) to the Study information system ASIO.

B Information saved in automatic data processing

Access to the system is limited at JAMK to specific persons and is determined by their working duties. The use of the system requires a user ID and a password.

9 Inspection right

Based on a personal request, a person entered in the personnel register is entitled to inspect the correctness and currency of any personal information in the register. The inspection request is made to: University of Applied Scienses, Educational Development Services, P.O. Box 207, 40101 Jyväskylä. 10 Right to demand information correction

Everyone is entitled to demand the correction of invalid information in the register. The correction request must be made in writing and specified to a sufficient degree. 11 Her rights related to the processing of personal information

Everyone may forbid the processing of his/her personal information. In such cases, the information is deleted from the register.
