Research and Development in Teacher Education College
The R&D activities of the Teacher Education College focus on the anticipation of the demands for change in the implementation of vocational and higher education and consequently, challenges set for teachers’ skills and teacher education.
These demands arise from the world of work and from global and regional development. We develop new learning environments and educational methods that promote learning and are well founded pedagogically. Our aim is to promote the accessibility, quality and impact of vocational education.
The big changes (e.g. decreasing age groups, aging population) that we are facing will increase the quantitative demand for adult education and the need for qualitative development. The focus in adult education will be on lifelong learning and continual workplace based enhancement of professional competences.
