The Kaluga region of Russia is experiencing an unprecedented level of growth and foreign investment. The Jyväskylä University of Applied Science’s School of Business has been the leader in establishing high level cooperative networks between Central Finland and Kaluga. This guide is a result of the project RuNBiz – Russian Nordic Regional Business Development Programme. The aim of the project, which was partly funded by the Regional Council of Central Finland, was to increase the awareness and cooperation between businesses from each respective region. In this guide, the authors and editors share their extensive hands-on experience in doing business in Kaluga, including basic information on the market, special features of doing business in Russia and legal aspects of setting up a business.
This guide is intended to assist managers, entrepreneurs, regional business development authorities, and students from Central Finland to recognize the opportunities and challenges of doing business in this dynamic region located Southwest of Moscow.
