The enlargement of the European Union, the implementation of the Kyoto Agreement and the reformation of the EU’s agricultural policy is influencing the energy market of the Baltic Sea region significantly. The challenging target set to the increase of the utilization of bioenergy necessitates promotion and mobilization of best available practises and technologies at European level.
This publication represents bioenergy sectors in three regions: Central Finland, Finland, Hadeland, Norway and Brandenburg, Germany. The publication describes the present situation, bottle necks for development and future aspects and it is intended for decision makers, spatial planning officers, researchers and students.
Articles are written by experts of Bioenergy Technology Transfer Network -project and the publication is part-financed by the European Union.
