"Tomorrow belongs to people who have the vision today!  Wealth in the new regime flows directly from innovation, not optimization; that is, wealth is not gained by perfecting the known, but by imperfectly seizing the unknown." -Prof. Donald Kuratko-

For Future Harvesting - Invest in Gardening

The roots and inspiration of Supercoch® Entrepreneurial Training goes back to University of California, San Diego and its Connect organization. The UCSD Connect was created after a layout of high paying jobs in San Diego region over 20 years ago. All together 82 000 defence engineering and manufacturing jobs were lost, almost over one night. San Diego had been too dependent on too few industry sectors. The decision makers decided to organize a program to educate the San Diego community on entrepreneurship and how to commercialize local research-based discoveries. They decided to start growing diverse population of employers - they started gardening of new businesses and new startups.

Ms. Sharon Ballard served UCSD Connect as a management fellow starting in 1996. She developed later Supercoach® Entrepreneurial Training programs to train coaches for growth company business development as well as business development training programs for sci-tech entrepreneurs.

Job Creation by Investing in Gardening Growth

Finland has invested billions of Euros annually in R&D and higher education. This intellectual property offers opportunities for new job and wealth creation, when these assets are commercialized in global markets.

“It is well established that, while only a small proportion of all entrepreneurial firms grow rapidly, this small minority delivers a disproportional economic impact relative to their numbers. Often cited studies suggest that anything from between 3% and 10% of any new cohort of firms will end up delivering from 50% to up to 80% of the aggregate economic impact of the cohort over its lifetime.” (Europe INNOVA).

“Venture capital (VC) firms are one of the primary sources of funds for the creation and development of innovative new companies. The amount and direction of VC investment can be predictive of employment change, revenue growth, and new products and services in the Innovation Economy.” (2008 Index of the Massachusetts Innovation Economy).

VCs invest under 0,5% of new companies, about 13% leads to big successes, so even VCs cannot pick winners. The strategy for wealth creation is to build up a network of supporting resources that growth gardening system needs. That is how one can get more potential to pipeline of new growth businesses, resulting to new jobs.

Supercoach® Entrepreneurial Training is Well-Oiled Machine for Gardening Growth

Supercoch® Entrepreneurial Training speeds up the process of developing a pipeline of possible growth ventures, licensors and venture acquisitions. Since the strategy is to have a large number in the  pipeline, one must be efficient and effective developing them.

It is like comparing hand turning the soil and each seed being planted and covered and watered and weeded vs. a well-oiled machine that accelerates that gardening process. We don't think that anyone needs to be taught, how to harvest!  We just need to grow the plant so that it fruits!  Supercoach® Entrepreneurial Training  helps to grow them much faster and much stronger.
