Creating Compelling Business Stories

Supercoach® Entrepreneurial Training utilizes the prototyping approach to produce the business plan, starting with a compelling business story.

How do we rapidly prototype a compelling business story? We started with the 30-second Elevator pitch; now we proceed to a One-Page Strategic Business Plan. Describe from founding to exit the top ten to twelve key action steps you must successfully achieve to reach your exit objective. How do we get started? Start with the exit describing exactly what the last action plan step is and then go backwards from future to present situation.

Supercoach® participants learn to focus on how the business will work, rather than on writing a business plan. Having to create an oral presentation forces clear thinking and generates essential data for the business plan, making it much easier to write.

The traditional approach to a business plan is similar to a phase-by-phase approach to building a work product. First, you begin by doing months of research: technology, product, market, customers, financials, etc. After collecting all of all the data, is time to write a 20 to 30-page business plan, including financials. The last pace in the process is to finalize executive summary, make elevator pitch, presentation slides and practise oral presentation.

Why Supercoach® Approach Is Significant?

  • Participants learn to focus on how the business will work, rather than on writing a business plan.
  • Supercoach® trainings focusing on creating an oral presentation, which forces clear thinking and generates essential data for the business plan, making it much easier to write.
  • The process focuses on value creation documented by P&L (Profit&Loss) statement. It describes the creation of value for stakeholders and reflects most strategically and directly their business plan assumptions and key milestones. The approach ties the P&L to their one-page plan to show holistically how the two are integral and directly related.
  • Supercoach® serves entrepreneurs throughout their lives, with their  ventures and in places of employment
  • The professional presentation format gives  the opportunity to give entrepreneur’s business proposal to financiers, through the Global Supercoach® Community.
