Networked Centre of Expertise for Tourism, Focal point of Jyväskylä, Area of expertise: Well-being tourism

Objectives

  • recognising new tourism business opportunities within the field of well-being
  • building innovative, customer-oriented and forward-looking concepts, service chains and networks in the field of (well-being) tourism in cooperation with companies
  • furthering the exploitation of future-oriented business know-how and IC technology in tourism companies

Target groups

Main target group: Tourism companies, mainly micro and small companies

Other target groups: actors in the field of tourism other than companies (e.g. development companies), education organisations, companies in the field of well-being, municipalities in Central Finland, the other centres of expertise

Outputs

  • Development projects
  • to boost regional networking between tourism companies and to develop tools for building the networks of tourism companies
  • to strengthen the know-how in producing, organising and managing events and to develop tools for the event organisers
  • Transfer of expertise e.g. in the area of well-being tourism, networking of small-sized tourism companies and service chain management
  • Product development, educational activities and consultation of well-being tourism
