Country Holidays in Central Finland Co-ordinating Project

Objectives

  • Co-ordinating the ongoing development projects that provide services to rural tourism enterprises in Central Finland to avoid overlapping processes and education.
  • Overall development of rural tourism destinations in the region of Central Finland.
  • Image-building and delivering information to customers and the media about country tourism and to entrepreneurs about the development of the tourism business in general.

Target groups

Rural tourism enterprises and travel agencies selling their products in Central Finland.

Outputs

  • Various campaigns that make rural tourism enterprises better known among the consumers.
  • Regional development programme for country holidays (according to the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry).
  • Co-operation between the projects offering services to the enterprises.

Time of implementation

1.7.2001-28.2.2006 (altogether 4.5 years under different project names),
The last phase of the project 1.7.2005 – 28.2.2006 is administered by JAMK    

Budget: €130,106 for 8 months / the last phase of the project (the 4.5-year budget totals €800,000)
