Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR has been chosen as a strategic focus area of the Research & Development & Innovation (R&D&I) unit of the School of Business and Services Management. Consequently, the unit supports and assists companies in developing their business, services and international networks in CSR.

The most important regional projects in this field so far are:

• Pioneers of Responsible Business in Central Finland
  2009 - 2010, developing environmental, social and economic responsibility in SMEs
• Sustainable Tourism Development
  2010 - 2011, developing a model for sustainable tourism business in rural areas in four Finnish regions

Member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education

In February 2011 the School of Business and Services Management of JAMK was accepted as a member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) network.

The mission of the network initiative is to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally.
