JAMK University of Applied Sciences aims as a strategical goal to be the Finland’s most entrepereneurship oriented university of applied sciences. The JAMK Generator generates collective action for the University of Applied Sciences including students, staff and working life.

JAMK Generator:

1. Enhances RDI activities that support creating entrepreneurship and creates more supportive atmosphere and networks

• Consept Lab, Protopaja activities, Protomo co-operation
• Funding for product and service development and commercialization
• Processes and tools for innovations and commercialization

2. Increases entrepreneurship among students and staff in accordance to JAMK’s strategy

• Evaluating and developing business ideas in collaboration with JAMK Business Incubator
• Capital funding for student and staff originated start up companies
• Organizing workshops, coaching and trainings for example Innovation Month, Launch Pad and Renovation in a Day

3. Developing learning environment and teaching that supports entrepreneurship

• Increasing enterprise methodology
• Creating project studies that support growing of entrepreneurial skills
• Learning by doing
• Entrepreneurial competitions, like IDIS idea contest for students
