International Business attracted the most applicants

The application period for JAMK's degree programmes conducted in English closed last Friday. The total number of applicants who chose JAMK as their first preference was 1420. The Degree Programme in International Business, which offers an opportunity to specialise in High-Tech Management, was the most sought after programme.
The second most popular programme was the Degree Programme in Nursing, which leads to the Degree of Bachelor in Nursing.  JAMK’s other international degree programmes are Music and Media Management, Logistics Engineering, and Facility Management. The total number of places in these five programmes is 190.  Apart from Finland, applications for these degree programmes were received from e.g. Russia, Vietnam and Bangladesh.  The degrees represent 210-240 credits and take an average of 3½ - 4 years to complete.

All eligible applicants will be invited to participate in the entrance examinations. Invitations will be mailed from 12 March 2010 onwards.  Entrance examinations will be organised both in Finland and abroad between 1 April and 7 May.  The results of the student selections will be published on 28 May at the earliest.

Joint application for programmes conducted in Finnish will start on 1 March 2010.
