Application Announcement: International Services’ Freemover scholarship for students is available for applying at JAMK University of Applied Sciences until March 15, 2010.
International Services of JAMK University of Applied Sciences declares the Freemover scholarship for international student exchange available for applying. It is intended for students who apply independently for an exchange place at a higher education institution that charges tuition fees. Degree students from all fields at JAMK University of Applied Sciences who have completed at least two years of their studies can apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to a student who has been successful in his/her studies (number of credits, average grade of study attainments) and has adequate language skills. The studies at the receiving institution also need to have significance to the student’s degree and professional growth. The scholarship is worth 5000€ at the most and it is awarded for tuition fees to such a higher education institution that does not have an exchange agreement with JAMK University of Applied Sciences and where students pay tuition fees. In case the tuition fees of the receiving institution amount to less than 5000€, the scholarship is paid in the amount of the tuition fee.
The scholarship is applied with an application formdocx, 63 kb (word, 64 KB). Also, a transcript of records and a letter of assessment from a departmental representative are needed. The letter should deal with the objectives and the expected outcome of the exchange as well as the reasons why an exchange in that particular institution is important to the student’s degree and professional growth. Application and attachments are to be delivered to International Services by 4 pm on March 15, 2010 at the latest. The address is:

In case the application is sent via regular mail, the letter needs to be stamped on March 15, 2010 at the latest. Applications sent or received later than the due date will not be accepted. International Services announces the receiver of the scholarship at the beginning of April. The student in question will be contacted personally.
