Parking on Campuses

Please observe the following parking rules on the campuses of JAMK:

Main Campus Parking instructions

Staff
The members of staff need a permit and may park only in the spaces indicated by ‘Henkilöstön pysäköintiluvalla'. Not using the parking permit or not displaying it properly in the car will lead to a parking fine. Parking on the Main Campus is supervised, subject to a permit, and indicated by traffic signs. There are separate parking spaces for students, staff, and visitors.

Visitors and Parking Spaces Requiring a Parking Disc
Visitors have been reserved parking spaces, also subject to a permit, on the main yard and in front of building F (indicated by ‘Pääkampuksen vierailijan pysäköintiluvalla’). Library customers can also use the parking spaces with a thirty-minute time limit, requiring parking discs.

Visitor permits are available at the Info of the Main Campus. The secretaries/hosts of the units expecting guests should send their guests parking permits and parking instructions in advance.

Students
On the Main Campus and Hongikontie car park, there are student parking spaces requiring a permit. The permits can be purchased at 30 euros at the Info of the Main Campus. The number of permits is limited, and they are valid till the end of the academic year. These student parking spaces are located on the main yard (near entrance D1), at the end of wing E (indicated by ‘Pääkampuksen opiskelijan pysäköintiluvalla’) and on Hongikontie, located at 200 metres from the Main Campus.

Parking Spaces for the Disabled
Parking spaces are located in front of the Rajakatu G1 and C2 entrances and in front of the Puistokatu main entrance.

Puistokatu 35

Staff

Visitors and Parking Spaces Requiring a Parking Disc
Visitors have been reserved parking spaces, also subject to a permit, on the yard of Taulumäki Church.

Students
On the Main Campus and Hongikontie car park, there are student parking spaces requiring a permit. The permits can be purchased at 30 euros at the Info of the Main Campus. The number of permits is limited, and they are valid till the end of the academic year. These student parking spaces are located on the main yard (near entrance D1), at the end of wing E (indicated by ‘Pääkampuksen opiskelijan pysäköintiluvalla’) and on Hongikontie, located at 200 metres from the Main Campus.

Parking Spaces for the Disabled
Parking spaces are located on Puistokatu, near wing B and in front of the "Älykoti" entrance.

Lutakko Campus (Piippukatu 2 and 3)

Parking is subject to a permit, supervised, indicated by traffic signs, and partly chargeable.

Staff
The staff of JAMK park primarily in the chargeable multi-storey car park of Innova. Those who have purchased a card for the multi-storey car park may not use the parking spaces with electrical outlets located on the yard, in order to prevent one car from taking two spaces!
Staff’s parking spaces with electrical outlets at the Dynamo and the Turbine House are filled in order of arrival. They cannot be reserved. There are parking spaces with electrical outlets next to the wall of the Turbine House (staff’s parking permit is needed).
These outdoor parking spaces with electrical outlets may also be used by the staff of the other units of JAMK, in order of arrival. Key for the electrical outlet can be borrowed from the Info of the Dynamo.

Students
At the beginning of the academic year, chargeable parking spaces with electrical outlets can be applied for. More information is available at the Info Desk of Dynamo.

Parking in the parking area of Jyväs-Parkki Oy at Lutakko: Students can buy monthly parking permits at the service desk of Jyväs-Parkki Oy P-Asema, Väinönkatu 8 (a student card or a registration certificate is required on buying the permit ). A permit costs 40 euros for the outside parking area and 50 euros for Paviljonkintalo parking area. The permit is valid for one month from the purchase date. One day permit costs 5 euros.

Visitors
A few parking spaces have been reserved for visitors in the parking area of the Turbine House. Permits for them are provided for one day at a time at the Info Desk of Dynamo and at Restaurant Ravintolaidea (outside restaurant guests). The secretaries/hosts of the units expecting guests should send their guests parking permits and parking instructions in advance.

Parking Spaces for the Disabled
Two parking spaces are available next to the back door of Dynamo, at Fortunakuja.
