Entrepreneurship

All Master’s degree programmes pay particular attention to an entrepreneurial way of thinking and the development of an entrepreneurial mindset. This means an active and responsible attitude to issues, other people and generally anything one comes into contact with.

Entrepreneurship calls for the ability to identify business opportunities and to find and utilise innovative ways of action, as well as to commercialise them. A Master’s Degree student may develop his/her entrepreneurial skills during the studies following his/her Personal Learning Plan. As part of Master’s studies, JAMK offers a shared module in which the student can select entrepreneurship and service management studies following his/her personal learning plan.

The business competences of JAMK’s students are enhanced by the JAMK business incubator training ‘from business idea to enterprise’ and by the growth entrepreneurship training. The JAMK business incubator offers students professional support and training for the development of business activity. In addition, the JAMK Generator offers a good variety of tools for developing innovation activities and entrepreneurship. With regard to Master’s degree students, the entrepreneurial studies and training sessions are integrated in the elective and advanced professional studies of the degree programme and/or the thesis, in accordance with the personal learning plan.
