Courses Offered - Master's Degree Programmes 2011-2012
The course schedule diagram provides information on the implementation of courses. Please select a degree programme or unit in the course schedules and then a group code from the pull-down menu. The three letters in front of the name of the degree programme constitute its degree programme code. All master's degree programmes start with the letter Y, the second letter stands for educational unit - for example master's degree programmes of the School of Social and Health Studies start with the letters YS.
The degree programmes / studies are listed in alphabetical order. After the degree programme, you can select either all the courses implemented this year or only the courses offered for students who have started their studies in a specific year. The fourth character of the start group code indicates the first year of enrolment (xxx9xx = 2009, xxx10xx = 2010, xxx11xx = 2011).

Elective Studies
All the students can choose and complete elective studies, usually from 5 to 10 ECTS credits depending on the degree programme in question. Elective studies provide the students with the opportunity to individually broaden and deepen professional competence and personal development. Elective studies can be selected from
-
the elective courses of one’s own unit / degree programme
-
the offering of other degree programmes
-
other universities of applied sciences, universities or other higher education institutions.
The elective studies must consist of master's level courses. Students must have their elective courses and the respective credits accepted by the head of programme in advance, if these courses are not selected from the elective studies of JAMK, after which they can be included in the Study plan.
Development of Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is one of the strategic focal areas of JAMK. All the students have the opportunity to enhance their entrepreneurial competencies and test a potential business idea or develop a readiness for continuing the business of an existing enterprise.
