The word alumnus/alumna refers to former student. Alumni activities imply networking: the alumni meet each other, current students and other representatives of the educational institution. Alumni meetings provide the opportunity to hear how your former class mates are doing, and to meet professionals of various fields. Further information on alumni activities

Further Education

Continuing Education

Graduates can enhance their competence through e.g. professional specialisation studies or other continuing education, completed while working. Further information on continuing education

Teacher Education

The Master’s degrees completed at Finnish universities of applied sciences are equivalent to university Master’s degrees, thus providing the opportunity to apply for vocational teacher education. Further information on the Teacher Education College

Licentiate and Doctoral Studies

Master’s degree graduates can apply for licentiate and doctoral studies at universities. Each university assesses, individually for each case, whether the applicant has sufficient knowledge and skills for postgraduate education, or if additional studies are required.

Research and Development Projects

The purpose of JAMK’s R&D activities is to promote the development of companies and organisations. The graduates can participate in the R&D projects as representatives of their organisation. Further information on R&D
