Bachelor’s Thesis Guidance

The bachelor’s thesis combines several objectives related to expertise and professional competences. The thesis process enhances the student’s ability to analyse and understand complex entities, and it develops his/her problem solving skills and creative thinking. In the process, the student also acquires a deeper understanding of the phenomena of his/her field of study.

In order to ensure a smooth learning process, the head of the degree programme appoints a personal thesis tutor for each student. The student agrees with the thesis tutor on submitting interim reports in which he/she presents the current stage of the work. The number of the interim reports and practices connected with it is agreed upon personally with the thesis tutor. In the interim report presentations, special attention is paid to the topic, reporting structure and language. The thesis tutor also gives the student guidance on how to continue with the work. The student follows his/her own thesis progress by means of a special follow-up form.
