As a bachelor of social services, you can work as an expert of social counselling and education. You will be familiar with the service system supporting welfare and social security and able to provide counselling and support to different clients in their everyday life, at different stages of growth and development, and in different life situations. The programme will equip you with competence in counselling, development and team leadership, essential because of the changes and diversification of service structures.
Studying is practically oriented and based on a personal study plan. Potential prior competence is taken into consideration on creating the personal study plan. The projects implemented in cooperation with the field provide the opportunity to develop R&D competence and entrepreneurial skills, and international experience can be obtained through student exchange.
In the spring of the first year, you can choose one of the three specialization options of the programme: special education and disability care, socio-cultural work, and early childhood education and social pedagogy.
