Would you like to design energy efficient and energy saving devices and systems for the world's markets? As an engineer of energy technology you will be able to pay attention to environmentally friendly and ecological values.
At the beginning of the study you will learn the basics of energy and mechanical engineering. In the specializing and mainly optional modules at the final phases of the study you will direct your interest towards studies that focus on energy technology and you will acquire special skills needed in supervisory and expert tasks.

In your studies, you can also specialize in the development of process and energy economy or in supervisory tasks. As a special area, one can choose the area of energy efficiency of industrial processes.
Realization of the study
The study includes lectures, group project work with cooperating companies, network studies and exams. Practical work experience that is a part of the studies can also be done with cooperating companies abroad.

Interest in technology is required for the studies.
Employment
The degree programme prepares the student for supervisory and expert tasks in technology industry. Typical tasks include those of a project manager and process development manager, planning and control, as well as occupations in project-type development and auditing. Your occupational title could be that of a project manager, process development manager, development manager or planning engineer/manager, among others.
Application and entry requirements
You can apply for the study if you have completed a secondary degree examination (secondary school/matriculation, occupational degree). If you are going to complete your studies during the spring application period, use your latest certificate for your application.

Prospects for further study
Once you have obtained your engineering degree, you can continue your study at the university. After a three-year work experience, you can apply for study which leads to a Master's degree. The options in the area of technology and transport are the study programmes in logistics, technological competence management and automation technology.
