Interested in a Career as a Bachelor of Business Administration Specialized in Law? Or in a Competitive Degree in Financial Administration and Management?
In the Degree Programme in Business Administration, you will be able to deepen and broaden your competence in business administration. The education will develop your cooperative and analytical skills, problem-solving skills and, particularly, data acquisition skills - all of them highly valued in the world of work. Thanks to your broader knowledge base, you will be able to consider several alternative solutions in your work, based on which you will be able to plan and implement your tasks more efficiently.
The programme includes studies in jurisprudence, financial administration, leadership and management. The participants study in two groups. Group 1 is oriented to jurisprudence and group 2 to financial administration, jurisprudence and management in the public and private sector. The programme also includes project studies, a practical training and a bachelor’s thesis.
The international nature of the field is reflected in the programme. Instruction is partly implemented in English. Part of the programme can be completed outside Finland, either through practical training or studies in one of our over 50 partner institutions.
You Can Complete the Degree while Working
Studying is based on a personal study plan. The programme is implemented through flexible modes of learning, including both contact and distance study. Various courses can be completed online. The assignments are designed to develop the operations of your workplace or other companies in the field. You will study in groups and learn from other professionals, too.
The participants are selected so that they can be granted credits for an earlier diploma or competence developed in working life, which will cover the first year of basic studies. The programme constitutes 150 ECTS credits, extending over 2.5 years. Prior learning and work experience is accredited towards the degree. Studies completed at the workplace can case-specifically also be included in the degree.
The courses are organized 2-4 times a week, depending on the stage of the programme, from Monday to Thursday at 17–20.
To study while working, you need to be goal-oriented and methodical. Time management skills and support from your family and employer are important for the success of studies. A support network will be provided by the other students to advance your studies, in addition to the teaching staff.
Work experience facilitates studies and the comparison of new things against prior learning and experiences. If you are already working, you can have your studies tailored to contribute to the development of your tasks.
Developing Expertise in Business
As a bachelor of business administration graduating from the programme you will have a strong business thinking ability and a holistic approach to development.
