Interpretation of Classroom Codes
The classroom information provided in connection with courses includes different codes. The beginning of the code refers to the address (street name and number), the end of the code to a building / part of a building and room number. E.g. R35D212 is interpreted as follows:
-
R35 = Rajakatu 35
-
D = building or wing
-
2 = floor
-
12 = room number on the floor in question (consecutive numbering)
If the building/wing has no letter code, it is represented in the code by an underline character, e.g. P18_146 (Pitkäkatu 18-22, floor 1, room 46).
The same logic applies to the following room information:
-
Pk35 = Puistokatu 35, School of Health and Social Studies
-
P2 = Piippukatu 2, IT Dynamo
-
P3 = Piippukatu 3, Turbine House
-
P18 = Pitkäkatu 18–22, School of Cultural Studies (Music)
-
TU17 = Tuumalantie 17 (Tarvaala, Saarijärvi), Institute of Natural Resources
