Starting Open Studies

Before starting the course, you will be posted or e-mailed a course letter, which contains

• confirmation of course commencement
• information on practical course arrangements
• your personal user name for JAMK’s network, and your e-mail address.

At the beginning of the course, its objectives, contents, implementation, and assessment criteria will be presented.

The scope of studies is measured in ECTS credits (cr):

1 cr = an average of 27 hours of student work

Depending on the nature of the course, course work can consist of e.g. lectures, assignments, teamwork, and independent learning, which can involve reading of literature and the completion of exercises, etc.

If the course is delivered partly or entirely online, you need a computer with access to the Internet.
