Insurance Coverage for Exchange Students

Exchange students coming to JAMK should take care of insurance coverage for the whole time of their stay before arriving in Finland. The insurance should also cover free time.

The accident insurances of JAMK cover only degree students.

For Students outside of the EU/EEA Countries

Finnish higher education institutions (both Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences) are currently in the process of trying to create a suitable insurance package that would provide coverage at a reasonable price and as comprehensive as possible for your needs while you are studying in Finland. Unfortunately it is not ready yet but we are hoping that it will be by late June. If you will be applying for your permit before the insurance package is available, then you will have to get your insurance from another supplier.
