JAMK is one of the most popular universities of applied sciences in Finland. It is located in Jyväskylä, a student-friendly, human-sized city offering a wide range of activities and opportunities, surrounded by Central Finland’s numerous lakes and immense forests.

We provide our students with excellent services. For international students we offer tutoring, orientation, and a friend family programme. Our libraries are well-equipped and provide free computer services and Internet access. We arrange Finnish language courses for our international students, as well as courses in other languages. The efficient, yet relaxed atmosphere of JAMK guarantees an enriching Finnish studying experience.

Applying for student exchange abroad has begun

Now is the time to apply for an exchange place abroad. The application period for autumn semester 2010, spring semester 2011 or the whole academic year 2010-11 runs from January 25 to March 14, 2010. However, application period for the spring semester 2011 continues until the end of September.

There are exchange places in numerous different institutions all over the world. Collect a copy of the Exchange Period Abroad Guide for yourself at the International Services or at your own International Coordinator's office so you can see what kind of opportunities there are for students in your specific field.

More detailed information on applying and all the necessary arrangements can also be found in OPTIMA student portal's Study Forum, in the section 'Internationality Through Studies'. The application form is filled in electronically via ASIO.
