Description of the programme
Information Technology is a 2-year Master's Degree programme leading to a degree of Master of Engineering. The main focus of the Degree Programme in Information Technology is product data and lifecycle management in international (software) projects.
The subjects of elective modules (e.g. about business administration) vary on a yearly basis. The competences acquired in the programme enable the students to progress in their career to become project managers in the field of ICT.
The degree consists of 30 credits of theoretical studies and a Master's Thesis of 30 credits. The Master's Thesis is a research or development project carried out in relation to working life. Theoretical studies are divided into general and advanced professional studies.

Organizing studies
The form of tuition is multiform (Friday afternoon and Saturdays or as agreed). Contact lessons take place approximately every 2 weeks (i.e. twice a month) during the autumn semester and the spring semester. Between the contact lessons, the students must work independently. The whole duration of the studies is 2 year.
The master's degrees conducted in English have tuition for NON-EU/ETA citizens. NON-EU/ETA-citizens have an opportunity to apply for JAMK's scholarship. More information will be provided in October.
