The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in International Business was awarded the history-making EPAS accreditation in May 2012. EPAS is a highly appreciated international accreditation system to evaluate the education in the field of business and/or management. The evaluation process considers programme delivery and design, outcomes, and quality assurance. Evaluation operated by EFMD emphasizes especially the quality of education, internationalization and corporate interaction.
The Degree Programme in International Business (IB) is a progressive, international, holistic programme that prepares students with the knowledge and core business management skills they need to succeed in the global marketplace. We provide a high-quality learning environment in order to compete with and surpass the standards and principles of competing institutions, through the use of advanced teaching techniques, cutting-edge technology, a global focus, and a determination to succeed.
Education and Research
IB takes a hands-on approach to training professionals for international careers. Learning is based on applying theoretical knowledge in a multicultural, innovative learning environment through case studies and projects in co-operation with industry and our international network.
The first two years of studies consist of project management, teamwork, communication, analytical tools, core business skills, and languages. Our focus is to give a global perspective to the operations of a modern company, including internationalisation, marketing, strategic management, financial and legal issues. Our students will learn to recognise new business opportunities and to develop such business in order to increase its profitability potential.

Multicultural Learning Environment
IB offers a truly multicultural and innovative learning environment with excellent opportunities for students to develop their language and multicultural skills. Our multicultural teaching staff, daily involvement in classroom activities with students from all over the world, our active contact with business life and our global network add to the international flavour of the programme. Our students deepen their knowledge during a mandatory exchange period abroad. All our students can study abroad gaining international experience and utilising excellent course offerings of our partner institutions around the world. You can also complete your practical training abroad. Our double degree programmes with French, German and Russian partners offer you an opportunity to gain two diplomas.

IB strives not only students' business knowledge and skills, but their global mindset as well. Our graduates work in various industries both in Finland and abroad, developing business in the areas of marketing, management and sales. Some of the graduates have also started their own businesses. More than 75 % of our graduates have a job after graduation and the rest of them continue their studies at the master’s level in Finland or abroad.

Further Studies at JAMK
If you have at least three years of relevant work experience after your Bachelor’s degree, you are eligible for our master’s level education. You can continue your studies at JAMK at the master’s level, focusing on New Business Development or High Tech Entrepreneurship. The Finnish bachelor’s level degree also provides you with the opportunity to continue your studies at universities around the world.
