Degree Programme in International Business 2012

The entrance examination will follow the national guidelines. Exams could include example the following parts: level of motivation, mathematics/logic, multiple-choice questions, group interview, essay. In the entrance examination will be english language test to all applicants whether they have provided beforehand some english language test e.g. IELTS, TOEFL or not.

The final content of entrance examination will be informed in the invitation letter.

If an applicant score is less than 30 points out of 100 points in the entrance exam, an applicant is not eligible for admission. If the applicant fails to reach the minimum point level in any of the examination parts, he/she will be disqualified from the entrance examination.

Entrance exams from the previous years are not available.

Pre-reading material

The Entrance Exam is based on the following pre-reading material. The applicant must study the material carefully before coming to the entrance exam. The applicant cannot take this material to the actual entrance exam and the material is not available for the applicant during the actual entrance exam. There will be an essay and 15 multiple choice questions based on this pre-reading material.

International Business Entrance Exam 2012 will be based on Metso Annual Report 2010 “Results by Working Together”. You can download it as a PDF file here (5.25 MB) or to read it electronically at

The report consists of five sections and you are advised to read the entire report for general understanding. You are then advised to concentrate on sections titled Metso (pp.1-49), Business Review (pp.50-68), FinancialStatements (pp.137-148) and Governance (pp.149-166).
