The education of vocational teachers and providing pedagogic continuing education courses require comprehensive knowledge of the world of work and its changes. We have brought teacher training from classrooms to everyday work environments, where the real challenges involved in the development of education can be faced. Teaching must be renewed along the changes in the labour market and research.
The staff members of the JAMK’s Teacher Education College have diverse educational and work experience backgrounds, and all our teacher educators have a pedagogical qualification and long teaching experience. Developing Tomorrow’s Teaching
Our R&D&I activities emphasise pedagogical issues concerning the opportunities to learn a profession in highly diverse settings. We focus on the challenges of online learning, cooperation with working life, the internationalisation of education and multiculturalism.
We foster R&D&I activities both in domestic and international contexts, in collaboration with other players of the vocational upper secondary and higher level sector. Our R&D&I work will continue to produce new pedagogical solutions, which we apply to the development of education.
