The School of Business and Services Management (SBSM) is a competitive, multidisciplinary and strategically networked community of professionals and a development partner for companies and public organisations.

As part of the JAMK mission, the role of SBSM is to create business and service competence in an international context. In the competence-intensive service business, our key competence areas are business development, business intelligence, entrepreneurship and innovation, and service business.

Our high-quality education is tailored to meet the needs of business and industry. We actively pursue links between education, research and working life. Individual guidance is given to students who wish to begin their journey as entrepreneurs.

We work in close contact with our national and international partners and offer support to businesses in the various phases of their life cycles. We design and implement educational services for businesses and organisations, and we conduct R&D&I activities to support regional economy. Creating new businesses is one of the criteria of our success.

SBSM consists of five departments: Business and Entrepreneurship, Global Business Management, Tourism and Hospitality, Continuing Education and Research & Development & Innovation. The culture of internationalisation is enhanced by the increasing proportion of international faculty.
