Focus areas mean strong competence

Focus areas are visible in our activities as multidisciplinary and networked entities that are integrated with our education as well as our research, development and innovation activities. The focus areas are competence entities that are based on needs observed in the operating environment, and they strengthen regional competence and internationalisation.

The Regional Centre of Expertise and four focus areas have arisen from our strong areas of special expertise:

• Well-being of families and health promotion
• Development of competence-intensive service business
• Reformation of the forest cluster
• Innovative Learning
